Nevada Is Officially The Most Halloween-Obsessed State
Move over, Cirque du Soleil. Las Vegas has a new obsession! Nevada residents are always bragging about how well we do Halloween. And now we have back up to prove it. A new study just revealed that we are the most Halloween-obsessed state in the country.
Nevada Comes In At #1 In Country For Halloween Enthusiasm
Some Halloween-loving people over at Casino Bonus Sites UK wanted to plan an October trip to the best place on the planet to spend the holiday (probably…or they were just curious). So they conducted a study analyzing the number of Halloween-related terms googled in each state per 100,000 residents. They collected data on 129 search terms and combinations from Google Keyword Planner. Terms included phrases like “Halloween”, “Halloween Costumes”, and “Halloween Decor”.
The study determined one clear winner. Nevada is the state most excited about Halloween. Truth be told, it might be that we’re excited about finally having two-digit temperatures. But as long as we’re celebrating the changing of the seasons with ghosts, ghouls and skeletons, it counts! Nevada came out on top with an average of 1,485 Halloween-related searches, monthly. Wyoming came in at a close second, with 1,378 average monthly searches. Followed by Utah with 1,365.
Southern Nevada has a ton of options for ways to celebrate the Spooky season. Area15 just announced their holiday-inspired scArea15 line-up. The Haunted Brunch is coming back this year at the House of Blues. And that’s just the tip of the dry iceberg. Even beyond the events, some of our neighborhoods in the Las Vegas valley get kind of crazy with the Halloween decor.
Over the years, Nevada has made a reputation for itself for some not-so-wholesome things. But when it comes to what we’re getting attention for, we’re okay with this one. In fact, we’d probably celebrate Halloween all year if we could. That summer sun could be a quick way to bake pumpkin pie.
