New Henderson Restaurant Giving Back With ‘Meaningful Mondays’
Las Vegas valley locals love to see a new restaurant pop up around town. Especially if it’s locally-owned. And a new Henderson restaurant, called Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails, opened this month to a lot of excited patrons. The restaurant group’s motto, “for locals, by locals” comes from the fact that all three of the partners live within ten minutes of the new venue. And they just took their commitment to the community one step further.
Being locals, those behind this project knew what the local area needed in terms of a restaurant. They chose the property on Eastern and Horizon Ridge because that area didn’t have a lot of options for non-chain American cuisine. And when deciding on that cuisine, Social Station’s chefs even polled locals to determine what the people actually wanted to see on their menu.
That’s a lot of commitment to locals. But living in the area and getting input from the neighbors when making the menu isn’t the only way this new Henderson restaurant is making things personal. Now they’ve introduced a program that gives back to the local community.
Henderson Restaurant Giving Back With New Program
Social Station didn’t hesitate to starting giving back to the local community. They started their “Meaningful Mondays” on June 3. Every month, a new beneficiary is chosen and ten percent of dinner sales on Mondays for that month will go toward that local organization. For the month of June, the beneficiary is Hope For The City. A non-profit in Henderson that strives to eliminate hunger in the Las Vegas valley. The nonprofit is currently running their Hope For Kids program, which helps feed children over the summer. As many Clark County kids rely on school food programs for their meals.
To participate in the “Meaningful Mondays” program, patrons just need to enjoy a meal on Mondays at Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails between the hours of 5 p.m. and close. Ten percent of their bill will automatically be donated to the featured organization. And every month a new organization in the community will be selected to help.
Kelley Jones is one of the partners of Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails, who shares the company’s belief in the power of community and the importance of giving back to it. He says “With ‘Meaningful Mondays,’ we’re excited to provide our guests with an opportunity to enjoy a great meal while contributing to the betterment of our city.”
If you’re not sure what to order for dinner at Social Station, some of their highlights include the Social Burger, with caramelized onions, American Cheese and Thousand Island. Or the Pan-Roasted Salmon with extra-virgin olive oil mashed potatoes, asparagus, and artichoke vinaigrette. Cocktail specialties include the Social Spritz with grapefruit vodka, Italicus Bergamot, Prosecco, and Fever-Tree grapefruit soda. And the Coronado, made with Don Julio Reposado, Borghetti coffee liqueur, Maven cold brew espresso and simple syrup.
New Henderson Restaurant With Old Soul Hospitality
While “Meaningful Mondays” is a great incentive to dine at Social Station, locals don’t need another reason. The food is amazing and the atmosphere so inviting. There’s a spacious dining room where patrons can enjoy each other’s company without feeling cramped. A 10-seat bar giving just enough seats for patrons to feel cozy. And the venue offers outdoor seating for those who enjoy their meal with some people watching.
The environment of Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails is right in the name. It’s a place that feels like your home kitchen with cocktails you’d enjoy with close friends. And the menu is just as comforting, but still offers a little something extra. They call it “elevated comfort food”. With dishes like their BLT with brown sugar and pepper bacon. Or their Mac & Cheese with a four-cheese blend and buttery breadcrumb topping.
Social Station Kitchen & Cocktails doesn’t leave anyone out. They have a kid’s menu and even some treats for dogs. And they offer a special brunch on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. With amazing dishes like their Hangover Burger with a fried egg and sweet chili sauce. Or their Vanilla French Toast with Blueberry Compote.
With the “Meaningful Mondays” program, Social Station is giving another level to their “for locals, by locals” motto. So the next time you’re out on a Monday looking for dinner, get some tasty food with a side of good feels for helping our local community.
