New Study Might Mean More People Moving To Vegas
Over the last few years, the number of new residents coming to Southern Nevada has been higher than ever before. And many locals have been hoping that maybe the trend of moving to Vegas is slowing down. But a new study out suggests that maybe we’re not done seeing those moving vans in our neighborhoods.
Study Results Might Lead To More People Moving To Vegas
A real estate data company called Clever recently released details about which cities in the United States Americans would like to live in the most. And Las Vegas made the top ten list. Besides the most desirable cities to live in, Clever’s article “The Best (and Worst) Places to Live in 2024, According To Americans“, also takes a look at the criteria people care about when choosing where to live.
According to this study, the thing Americans care most about when they’re considering where to live is crime rates. Clever reports that for the third year in a row, high crime rates is the most undesirable trait in a city for Americans. A statistic expressed by three out of four citizens in the study. And although we just reported less than a year ago that Las Vegas is one of the most dangerous cities in the country, it’s still on Americans’ top ten list of desirable places to live.
In spite of growing crime rates in Sin City, there are many characteristics that still make moving to Vegas a possibility for many Americans. Clever’s study reported that Vegas ranked number four in the country for the best food and number 12 in the country for the prettiest places to live. And even though Vegas residents have seen a rise in mortgage and rent prices, it’s still lower than other major cities.
So does this mean that even more people will be moving to Vegas over the next few years? Time will tell. But it’s probably safe to say that if you have the means to invest in Las Vegas real estate, that probably wouldn’t be the worst thing you could do for your financial future.
