Vegas Pizza Spot Makes U.S. Top 50, Giving Locals Free Drinks
There is a restaurant in town that just made the list of top 50 pizza restaurants in the U.S. And in July, this popular Vegas pizza spot is giving locals yet another reason to stop by.
The restaurant is called Double Zero Pie And Pub, or “00 Pie & Pub”, as is shown in it’s branding. Located in Chinatown, this Vegas restaurant is one of only two places in Southern Nevada to land on the list of America’s top 50.
Vegas Pizza Restaurant Lands On U.S. Top 50 List
If you are looking for great pizza anywhere in the world, you have to consult the 50 Top Pizza list. It is widely-considered as one of the best pizza guides you can find. It reviews over 2,000 pizza restaurants, both nationally and worldwide. And uses both reviews and personal visits to compile its lists.

Double Zero Pie And Pub is named for the double zero flour that is famously used in their Neo-Neapolitan pizza. And 50 Top Pizza mentions this specifically in their list. Saying the finely-milled flour and chef Michael Vakneen’s practice of letting the dough rise naturally are the reasons why the pizza is so amazing.
Double Zero Giving Locals Free Drinks In July
Double Zero landing on the 50 Top Pizza list is even more exciting because the restaurant is brand new in town. In fact, they’re celebrating their one-year anniversary in July. And they’re doing it by giving locals free cocktails. From Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 31, all guests will receive a complimentary welcome cocktail.
Called the “00 Spritz”, the drink is made with pressed watermelon, jalapeño simple syrup, Aperol, lime and prosecco. The complimentary drink is the restaurant’s way of thanking the community for their support over the last year. Double Zero also has a full menu of drinks available for patrons, including wines, beers, and cocktails.
And when it comes to the food, guests can start their meal with one of Double Zero’s popular appetizers. The Antipasti menu includes Arugala and Caesar salads, Wagyu Carpaccio with aged fish sauce and enoki mushrooms, Acciuga Picante with roasted red peppers and capers, and their Schiacciata.
For the main menu, guests can choose from a variety of unique pizza creations. The Short Rib All’Arancia is topped with short ribs, orange chimichurri, tangerine oil, parmesan and pistachios. The Speck pizza has a white sauce, fig jam, candied pecans and saba.
For those who like to keep it more traditional, there’s the Pepperoni with vodka sauce and basil, the Marinara with garlic and Sicilian oregano, and the Margherita with basil and sea salt. There are also options for vegetarians and the Diavola, if you prefer some spice on your pie.
Double Zero Pub & Pie is located at 3853 Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas. They are open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 4 to 10 p.m. As well as Friday and Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. A separate happy hour menu is also available Wednesday through Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m.
Chef Michael Vakneen is now the youngest chef ever to be chosen for the 50 Top Pizza. Congrats to him and Double Zero Pub & Pie for this amazing accomplishment in their first year of business in Las Vegas!
