Florida Woman Found Hiding In Her Couch From Authorities
In Tampa, Florida a woman was arrested after they found her they hiding in her couch from the authorities, according to Fox News.
Quick! Hide!
Stacy Usher, 39, and was wanted on a parole violation. She was caught allegedly selling fentanyl and also an unlawful operation of a two-way communication device, the Fox News article reports. Usher failed to show up for her parole appointment and immediately the Sheriff’s office went on the hunt to find her. When authorities arrived to her home, she was found hiding in her couch. I guess she was hoping they wouldn’t find her.
The Sheriff’s office posted on their Facebook page that Usher was registered as a convicted felon in Citrus, Manatee and Pasco Counties.
It’s not clear whether they were tipped off about her location, or if officials had a stroke of luck when searching her home. She was nowhere to be found in the home. But as you and I both know, you always check the couch for anything you can’t find. Car keys, money, remote controls, missing/wanted felon, it’s most likely there. She was definitely there.
Stacy is not just in trouble for hiding from the authorities in her couch, she’s also in a lot more trouble. In addition to the drugs and the parole violation, she has an long history of fraud and grand theft. She also allegedly wrote bad checks, Fox further reported.
It’s almost a dead giveaway when someone is writing checks for large amounts in this day and age. Especially because we live in a time where people are using debit cards and credit cards.
Usher is currently being held until her hearing in front of a judge, WSTP-TV reported. Most likely, she’s going to serve some time for it all.
If there’s anything we can learn from this story is never ever forget to check the couch when you’re looking for anything.
