Alex Trebek is being honored, posthumously, in a very cool way.

The answer: Who is Alex Trebek? QUESTION: This longtime host of Jeopardy will soon have his face on a postage stamp.

Alex Trebek will be honored with a 'Forever' postage stamp. It is to celebrate his legacy, and to celebrate Jeopardy's 60th anniversary. The stamps will be available next month.

Ken Jennings made the announcement on Friday, when he revealed the stamp.

But No Picture On The Alex Trebek Postage Stamp

The sheet of 20 stamps looks like the blue video screens on the “Jeopardy!” game board. On each stamp it says, “This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show “Jeopardy!” for 37 seasons.’ Then written upside down underneath that, is the answer: “Who is Alex Trebek?” But - no picture!

Not to mention, Trebek was quite proud of being Canadian. Interesting - at least to me - that this is what they went with on the stamp. And again - NO PICTURE!

The Postal Service wanted the stamp resemble the game, and the board the clues are given off of.

Do You Know How Much A Postage Stamp Is These Days?

If you are anxious to get the new Alex Trebek stamp, you can preorder online. Most people don't use snail mail that much, so I'll d the math for you. 20 stamps for $14.60. That's 73 cents for a stamp now.

Relatively speaking, I suppose 73 cents is still a reasonable amount to pay to get a piece of mail across the country - or across town. But it definitely seems high now.

Alex Trebek died in 2020, at 80 years old. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about a year prior, and continued to work while undergoing treatment. Trebek took over Jeopardy, after long time host Art Fleming left the show.

There have been a lot of famous people on postage stamps. Here are some big musical artists you may, or may not be, aware of.

The Beatles

A Beatles postage stamp was released in 1999. It featured a vibrant yellow submarine, and it was 33 cents.
