Facebook Owes You Money And Here’s How To Get It
Facebook owes you money – TAKE IT!
Facebook has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit for $725 MILLION, and YOU are probably entitled to some money.
The case dates back to that Cambridge Analytica scandal in 2018, when there were allegations that Facebook was sharing users’ information with third parties, without their permission – which they still deny doing, by the way. So, they’re “settling.”
If you had a Facebook account between May 24th of 2007 to December 22nd of 2022, you canΒ file a claim online, orΒ download a form and mail it in to them the old fashioned way. It only takes a few minutes to do this. You just have to give them your user name, your contact information, and how you’d like to receive your payment.
The deadline to file is August 25th. The money won’t arrive until after that, of course. They haven’t said how much each person is entitled to. Despite it being a $725 million settlement, it probably won’t be much more than the price of a cup of coffee – but a free coffee is a free coffee! Especially when Facebook is buying.
The lawyers’ fees and court costs will eat up a decent chunk, and if EVERYONE in the U.S. who’s had a Facebook account is eligible, that means it could be shared among 250 million to 280 million users.Β BUT – not all those people will file a claim. AND – they are giving people MORE money based on how many months during those 15 years you had an account, so you’re better off the longer you were on Facebook. That will make a difference in the amount of your payoff.
In my opinion, it’s so fast and easy to do, that it’s worth doing –Β just in case there IS a little more in the kitty than expected.Β Again – even a FREE COFFEE is nice!
It’s similar to the Equifax from a while back, where HALF the country was eligible. The settlement was for $425 million, and they initially talked about how people could get payouts of “up to $125.”Β But once all the lawyers were paid, and all the mouths were fed, most people only got about $5.
Free coffee, a donut, whatever – GET YOUR MONEY FROM FACEBOOK!

What Star Wars Character Is Your Favorite NFL Team?
What Star Wars character do you think YOUR NFL team is?
Robots, AI, Chat GPT – there is no doubt about the fact that we are entering a brave new world of technology.Β It seems as if each day brings another technological innovation that will be amazing, and somewhat flawed, and change our world in both good and bad ways.
You hear more and more everyday about AI, or artificial intelligence. Scroll through TikTok and you will see dozens of videos promising to show you how to AI can help you make millions of dollars, be more efficient at work or even plan your vacation.
It’s all very cool, and futuristic, and even Jetson-like. But I do believe if we’re not careful, we’ll all be replaced by new AI Overlords soon!
Chat GPT-4 actually did this list, and compared every single NFL team to a Star Wars character, and matched them up. Some of the results are really fun – and actually pretty dead on. Others, maybe not so much.
Again, keep in mind that a company called Fansided Β did this on Chat GPT-4, so it may have gotten certain details incorrect or some of its data might be out of date – because AI is still slightly flawed, and it probably will be for a while. Humans designed it, after all.
Chat GPT-4 is only “trained” through September of 2021. So for example, Chat GPT-4 doesnβt yet know that the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year, nor does it know of a lot of the changes that have taken place in the NFL over the last couple years. But it sure knows its Star Wars characters!
All of that said, the data it does have on NFL teams is pretty extensive. So they took a deep – and fun – dive in, and basically let a robot come up with the Star Wars character for your team. See what you think, and how accurate or inaccurate you think these comparisons are.
