Update On KKLZ Morning Show Executive Producer Morty
Morty, Executive Producer of The Mike and Carla Morning Show, has been battling cancer for a year and a half now.
It's one of the most horrible, awful words anyone can ever hear and we hope no one EVER has to hear it: Cancer. Morty has been fighting Colon Cancer, along with some spots found on his liver, and his lymph nodes.
Carla Rea and Mike O'Brian have set up a GOFUNDME page for Morty, so let's do it!
Fighting Cancer Is Frightening And Expensive
Insurance doesn't even begin to cover the cost of treating cancer . We'd like to help ease Morty's financial and emotional burden, because it is heavy. If you cannot donate, please just share the link.
He has been going through chemotherapy for a year and a half. He's had some complications: Blood clots, covid. He also now has a - hopefully temporary - colostomy bag that now has to be corrected.
Morty Has A Good Attitude:
Overall he has a good attitude, but some days are far harder than others.
Keep Morty in your thoughts, prayers, and meditations. He appreciates it, and all of you. We expect to Morty to stick with 96.3 KKLZ for many years to come whether he wants to or not!
And one of these days, we will get Kelly Clarkson to pay him a visit!
Taking Care Of Your Own Health:
A reminder: The pandemic put a lot of things on hold for everyone a few years back. If you haven't been to the doctor because you're afraid, or you've just put off going for some reason - GO! Make sure that your body is functioning the way it is intended to do so. And if it's not, there's often SOMETHING you can do about it - if it is detected early.
STAY HEALTHY!
PLEASE NOTE: Any money collected should be distributed directly through GoFundMe page to the recipient. It is NOT collected by Beasley Media, then redistributed. Contributions are not tax deductible. Any donations donated are self-willingly.
