It’s a beautiful day to sun yourself on a patio with a tortoise… wait…. what’s that now? Oh, that’s just Barry, our Hearts Alive Village Adoptable Dog of the Week, chillin’ with his foster bro. Here’s the challenge: Barry can only go to his foster family’s house on weekends and he’s lonely. We spend as much time with him as possible at the rescue, but he needs a family to call his very own. He’s getting a bit depressed right now and he really needs to find his new home. Barry needs a home without cats. With some time, he could probably adjust to a home with another dog (and we’d be happy to help with the process), or he’d be really happy being an only dog. While a tortoise friend is not mandatory, it would certainly be a perk for this handsome boy. He’s 5-years-old, neutered, up-to-date on his vaccines, microchipped, and ready at a moment’s notice to hop in the car for a ride or go for a nice walk.
