FRANKIE

Are you ready for the Adoptable Cat of the Week? Frankie is a sweet older boy (12-years-old) who would like a home where he can get some good pats and sunbathe. He’s got a little bit of cat acne on his chin that occasionally needs some wiping. He’s so appreciative and will let you know how good it feels when you’re done! You can meet Frankie at the adoption center on 1750 S Rainbow Blvd #4 (Mon-Fri 10am-7pm, Sat-Sun 10am-5pm) His adoption fee is $65 and he is neutered, UTD on his vaccines, and microchipped. Prepare to be loved!
BEAR
Say hello to Bear, our Hearts Alive Village Adoptable Dog of the Week!
Bear was brought to Legacy Animal Hospital a few months ago. His hind legs weren’t working due to some kind of disk or nerve issue. (It may have been caused by an injury, but we know very little about his past). His family could no longer care for him and requested that he be euthanized. Dr. Muratore believed that this handsome, 8-year-old boy still had some life to live and along with his amazing staff, nursed him back to health. Using medications, laser therapy, and good ol’ fashioned love, they got him walking again. Now, it’s our turn to find this boy the perfect family. Bear is a nervous pup. After everything he’s been through, we can’t really blame him. He takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once he does, good luck convincing him he’s not a lap dog. Bear is a champion snuggler and will even try to get into your coat if the opportunity presents itself. He is always eager to go for a walk. While he doesn’t show signs of reactivity towards other dogs while on-leash, we want to give him a little bit of time to adjust to his new surroundings before introducing him to other dogs. Bear is a bit nervous in the car, but he does well. He’s a good eater and can stand to put on a few more pounds to bring him up to a healthy weight. Keeping him at a healthy weight will be important to protect his back and legs. Bear is on preventative anti-inflammatories to head off any future issues, however, he is a strong, healthy boy now who loves to run and even stands on his back legs to look out the window. Bear is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he will be loved and snuggled. Patience is important as it may take a little bit of time for this cutie to warm up to his new humans. If you think Bear would be a good addition to your family, please fill out an application on our website: https://heartsalivevillage.org/adoptable-dogs/
