Paws In the Park is coming up on Saturday and our house is all kinds of excited! Most of you have met (or cyber-met) my cutie patootie pooch Apple. Hands down the most personality I’ve ever seen in a dog. And that’s saying a lot considering I once rescued a Dachshund/Jack Russell mix! He was next-level crazy. Apple is ready to strut her stuff at Desert Breeze Park this weekend. Look how excited she is!
Even though she can be a little standoffish and socially awkward at first, Apple is thrilled to be able to mingle with other doggies and make new friends at Paws In The Park. She even got her nails done for the occasion!
First things first…it’s going to be chilly in Las Vegas on Saturday. In the 50’s. I know…our city finally got the memo that winter is indeed coming. But it’s going to be beautiful with the sunshine out, so bring layers for you and your pup (if they’re the “dress up” type). And don’t forget, ALL pets are welcome. Cats, hamsters, lizards. I say if you love it, bring it! Apple says she’ll try real hard not to harass your cat if you bring one.
Apple is still kind of shy, so if you see her at Paws In The Park this weekend, let her approach you. It has to be her idea to make friends. I know…control freak, right? I have no idea where she gets that from… 😉
We are both looking forward to a lot of things at Paws In The Park. Apple keeps pestering me to make sure we don’t miss some things she’s really looking forward to. And if you’re planning to bring your dog, we think you should make sure you do these things too!

2. Smooches At The Kissing Booth!
The kissing booth is going to be a fun place where doggies and their owner can exchange a smooch or two. Sponsored by the cast from Bat Out Of Hell at Paris Las Vegas.

3. Playing In Water At The Watering Holes!
S’Barkling Clean Mobile Pet Grooming is going to host the S’Barkling Watering Hole where pups can splash around and play!

The pet contests are going to be lots of fun at Paws In The Park! Contests for cutest dog, ugliest dog, and for the owner who looks most like their pet.
5. Adoption Centers!
If you’re thinking about starting or expanding your fur family, Paws In The Park will be a great opportunity. There will be over 20 local rescues on site and even a doggy parade showing off adoptable pets!
