Here are the adorable adoptables from Hearts Alive this week.
EDGAR and ALLEN
Suddenly, there came a tapping, As of someone gently rapping, rapping at your chamber door. Don’t worry! It’s just Edgar and Allan, our Hearts Alive Village Adoptable Cats of the Week, asking if they can come live with you. These cuties are 5-months-old and looking for a wonderful family to join together. Edgar is a handsome big boy who loves snuggles, belly rubs, and treats. He is a magnificent black kitty with a tiny bit of white sprinkled across his chest and one white toe on each back paw. Edgar is very shy and easily startled; he will most likely hiss at you before running and hiding. However, he is so sweet and loving. Because of this, he will need an adopter who is willing to be patient and give him time to become comfortable in his new surroundings. Once Edgar has warmed up, he purrs loudly and will demand attention by head butting and crawling into a lap for belly rubs. Allan is a sweet, loving boy who used to have a completely black coat but recently started developing gray and white hairs, thus giving him a unique smoky appearance. Allan is curious, playful, and adventurous. He absolutely loves toys, racing around the house, and playing with his brother Edgar. He is fascinated by running water and will find anything and everything to entertain himself with. Although he can be shy and hesitant in new situations, his curiosity usually outweighs his fear, and he is a love bug who immediately starts purring when given attention. These brothers would like to be adopted together and would do best in a calm household without younger children. (And yes, they have a sister named Poe – she’s just not concerned with staying with her siblings). For more information or to apply, please visit https://www.shelterluv.com/publish_animal/hav-a-5418
Are you looking for a shadow? The Hearts Alive Village Adoptable Dog of the Week is available! Mila is a 9-year-old Boxer who was found as a stray. She had a chip, but when we reached out, we learned that her family had rehomed her, and her new family had abandoned her and moved to Mexico. The original owner surrendered her to us and now, she’s ready to find a special family who will love her for the rest of her life. Mila loves to walk, plays a bit, and climbs the stairs with ease. She’s in a foster home now with a doggy door and hasn’t had a single accident in the house. They are also working on basic commands and she’s picking them up quickly. She’s great with kids, dogs, and possibly even cats. If you’d like to meet her, please fill out an app at https://www.shelterluv.com/publish_animal/hav-a-5589
Could I get any cuter?!? At least that’s what my foster Mom asks me 137 times a day. My name is Marge and I’m looking for my forever family I’m a super sweet little senior lady who is very low maintenance. My hobbies include sleeping (burrowing in blankets on top of beds to be specific), eating (hand-fed because I can get away with it;) snuggling, getting belly rubs, and having afternoon tea with Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose. A quiet home would be best for me. I do like exploring new places and even like riding in one of those foofoo dog bags, you could take me anywhere! Side note: all the wine stores in Vegas that my foster Mom goes to, allow dogs. I like all my small foster siblings (there are so many of them) but I like my personal space too. I once chased the neighbor’s senior pitbull off our grass. Maybe I’m not fond of big dogs, but I also can’t see worth a damn so who really knows? Besides not seeing and most of my hearing gone, I am healthy and get around really well. I know where everything is in my current home but I need to be carried up the stairs etc. Just because I have very tiny legs. Do I sound like the perfect dog for you? I hope so because I don’t know where my last family went and I want to make sure I don’t have to go anywhere else, especially the shelter.
