Group Therapy: Should A 10 Year Old Be Allowed A Tattoo?
This story recently popped up, but now it’s home. In a session of “Group Therapy,” a mom wants to know if a 10-year-old should be allowed a tattoo.
It came up this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show in another edition of “Group Therapy”. The single mom says that her ex is saying that he would like to get the kid a tattoo, even though the kid is only 10 years old!
Recently, there was a story where a 9-year-old girl had a tattoo of the American Flag on her arm. Since that story, her ex and even the kid is all for it. The father thinks the kid should be able to make up his own mind and decide for himself.
Should A 10 Year Old Be Allowed To Get A Tattoo
The dad also said that if indeed he makes a decision, this will teach the kid that there are consequences attached to this decision. Carla Rea right off the bat thought what about a fake tattoo? This way the kid has the tattoo, but it can come off at any time!
Ya see, that’s what Cracker Jacks is for right? The prize inside…there ya go! So, we threw it out there and needless to say, most parents were not supporting the ex!
If you want to test out the temporary tat, there is a site featuring tats for kids…it has everything including sleeves! You have to check out Tony Ray Tattoos…and shop away!
Not surprisingly, Mike O’Brian went through kind of the same thing and said right off the bat, no way! But needless to say, we found out more about tattoos than we bargained for.
Did you know that there are 10 states in the country where there is no age limit for a tattoo with parental consent? We were all SHOCKED! (shocked) when we heard this!
Check out the segment from this morning and you decide!
