Report: 2024 Pizza Trends; Things You Need To Know
We all love a good pizza and Pizza Hut has released their 2024 pizza trends. Some of us eat pizza on a regular basis, even down to the specific day. When it comes to pizza, we all have our own opinions on what should be on a pizza or what kind of crust your pizza should have. I personally am a simple man when it comes to pizza. Regular crust with cheese and pepperoni. Sometimes just plain cheese will do. But there are those who go to the extremes with toppings.
When Do People Love To Eat Pizza In The United States
In the research Pizza Hut did, they found out so much about everyone’s different trends when it comes to pizza. They found that the average person will consume pizza at least 3 times a month. One state though will consume just a bit more pizza in a month, than any other state. That state is North Dakota. They will consume pizza 3.5 times a month. When they broke it down, this means that the average person will consume 8 slices of pizza a month. I on the other hand am not that average apparently. I’ll eat a whole pizza by myself in one sitting, if you give me some time. That right there is 8 slices. According to PR News Wire, Wisconsin takes the lead with 10 slices.
When ordering pizzas, Pizza Hut found that 47% of people will immediately order a large pizza. Per PR News Wire, they say that North Dakota, New York, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are the top states that consume the most pizza.
But when do people consume the most pizza? In the week, it’s Friday’s. 47% of people in the research done by Pizza Hut said that Friday is the day out of the week they would eat it. And if you’re wondering about leftovers, yep, 74% say cold leftover pizza is a popular choice. I definitely fall into that 74%.
What Would You Like On That Pizza?
As times evolve, so do peoples taste. Well, some peoples taste. The originals like pepperoni pizza are now being overtaken by pizzas topped with sweet and spicy ingredients. They found that these types of pizzas are up 38%. But even though all these weird and new concoctions of pizza’s are being created, pepperoni pizza still reigns supreme, when it comes to meat toppings. 42% of people prefer it.
Now which toppings should they absolutely not allow on pizza? They found that banned toppings are fish, beets, blueberries, plums, and kiwis. If you look at that list, you would immediately realized that they all shouldn’t be on a pizza. But the results from the research done found that 10% of people wouldn’t ban anything on a pizza.
Pizza Hut enlisted the help of OnePoll to do the market research on Pizza. They surveyed 5,000 Americans to get their results, between December 22, 2023 and January 5th, 2024. We have more on this story in today’s edition of a Few Things You Should Know!
