The Latest Sign Added To The Neon Museum
It’s where Las Vegas history lives and yet, another sign has been added to Neon Museum! It truly is the resting place for so many iconic signs in Las Vegas. This museum has become a tourist attraction for locals and out of towners alike. However, there is one amazing thing in all this, that The Mike & Carla Morning Show have seen a lot of these signs go up and come down over the years!
The Neon Museum Is A History Lesson For Las Vegas!
Having opened in October of 2012, this corner in Las Vegas is the home to many of the neon signs we have come to know. Through pictures, watching movies, or even tv. Every historical sign from the Moulin Rouge to the Stardust. One of the latest signs to appear is that of the original Hard Rock Café. That huge guitar in front of the cafe!
Spending a few decades at the corner of Paradise and Harmon. It’s construction was a sign that things were changing in Las Vegas. Of course, that huge guitar was made really famous in the movie, “Honey, I Blew Up The Kids”!
The latest sign to make it’s way to the boneyard is the original sign from The Palms. According to a report from Channel 3, the lights have been restored and is ready to take it’s place at the museum. The Palms opened in 2001 and was a hot spot right from the beginning. But over the years, different owners, updating the resort, the original sign came down.
The new “old” sign becomes the 24th re-illuminated sign at the boneyard according to the Channel 3 report. If you go to the resting place of all these signs, it’s truly a flashback to a different time in Las Vegas.
