Recently, the U.S. Open in New York recognized a Las Vegas tennis park, news3lv.com reported. Lorenzi Park is located on Washington Avenue between Rancho Drive and Valley View Boulevards in Las Vegas. The Open honored the park for being an outstanding facility.
The Open judged parks across the country in various categories, including the category of small tennis centers. Which are public parks with two to 11 courts. Lorenzi was honored in this category, and was one of 29 recipients honored across the nation. They were honored at an awards reception at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York last month.

Lorenzi Park opened in 1926, according to its website. In addition to the tennis amenities, the park offers a children’s play area with a water feature, picnic areas and various sports fields. Including tennis courts, soccer and softball fields and basketball court. There is also a fishing area that is spring-fed.
In addition to the tennis facilities, Lorenzi Park was recognized by the U.S. Open for their programs. The park is host to the Inspiring Children Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps youth and families from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. Additionally, the park is host to a USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning Chapter.
Lorenzi Park is also the location of the NO QUIT Tennis Academy. Which, according to their website, was voted one of the top 5 U.S. academies by Tennis Channel. The NO QUIT Tennis Acamedy offers classes for all ages in both summer and during the school year.
