Nevada is one of the top 5 most picturesque states for marriage proposals. Photo of a man taking a photo of two different couples on a rooftop bar at night near the Las Vegas Strip. Everyone is dressed in classy evening wear. The woman on the far left is wearing a brown sleeveless evening dress. The man to her right is wearing a black blazer and open collared dark patterned shirt. She has her arms wrapped around his waist while he holds a half-full champagne glass. The woman on the far right is wearing a navy blue, sleeveless evening dress. Her date is standing behind her. He is wearing a dark blazer. There is also a man seated at a table to the right of the two couples. All five people are smiling as the man with his back to us holds up a camera phone and snaps some photos. It is nighttime in Las Vegas. In the background you can see the lights and hotel buildings at Mandalay Bay Resort and the Excalibur Hotel and Casino.

Incredible Sites For Picturesque Marriage Proposal Photos In Nevada

Sure, we live in a desert, so there is plenty of desolate terrain throughout Nevada. That drive from Las Vegas to Southern California or up to the Reno area can get pretty monotonous.

However, there are plenty of sites for picturesque marriage proposals in the Silver State too. The first that comes to mind is the “Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas” sign on the southern end of The Strip.

Plus, you have all the rooftop bars like the one in the photo on which to take romantic pictures, especially at night. The neon lights of Las Vegas can be mesmerizing.

But there are also numerous picturesque marriage proposal sites around Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, up at Mt. Charleston, and in the Valley of Fire.

You’ve also got Lake Mead, the Fountains of Bellagio, fun Fremont Street, and Red Rock Canyon. I’m sure I’ve missed your favorite Nevada spot for picturesque marriage proposal photos.

Nevada Named 4th Best State For Picturesque Marriage Proposal Photos

Our home state claims one of the top five spots in a recent study of the most picturesque marriage proposal states in America. In fact, according to the online diamond engagement ring retailer Rare Carat, Nevada ranks fourth.

So, who beat us out? Their findings are based on the average number of Instagram posts featuring hashtags for popular engagement spots in each state.

The winner in this Rare Carat survey is New York. I guess it’s hard to beat all the great spots in The Big Apple. Sites like Central Park, Times Square, and the top of the Empire State Building come to mind. Plus, you have the American side of Niagara Falls in upstate New York to consider as well.

In second place, it’s Florida. Popular picturesque marriage proposal places include Walt Disney World, Key West, Clearwater Beach, and Wynwood Falls.

Ranking third, it’s our neighbors to the west in California. Remember, there’s a California side to Lake Tahoe too, and that’s one of the popular spots. Then there’s Disneyland, the Golden Gate Bridge, Napa Valley, and Yosemite National Park to find romantic spots for your engagement photo.

After Nevada in fourth place, rounding out the top five in this Rare Carat survey, it’s our neighbors to the south in Arizona. Of course, the Grand Canyon has several places for a fabulous photo. Other popular spots include Horseshow Bend, Lake Havasu, and Cathedral Rock.

Absolutely Avoid These 6 80s Songs On Your Wedding Day

It’s June! It’s one of the most popular months of the year to get married. Lots of brides dream of having a June wedding day. The choice of songs you play during your wedding, or at the reception, could make or break what should be the most joyous day of your life.

Wedding Songs Have Real Meanings

You and your beloved might have an ironic sense of humor. Or maybe, you love to choose the unusual. You love to go against the grain. Do the unexpected. Or, you think all of those “love songs” are just too “mushy” for your wedding day.

That all may be true. But you will probably have family and friends around you to help you celebrate your union. The songs you choose to play during your wedding ceremony, and at your reception, will matter. It will show all of those people how you really feel about each other.

A Romantic Title Doesn't Mean Its An Appropriate Wedding Song

When you scroll down to the list of six 80s songs to avoid on your wedding day, you may be surprised to find a few that you had on your list as “must haves.” The title may make the song sound romantic. But, once you hear the lyrics, you will understand why some of these tunes should be avoided on your wedding day.

There Are Plenty Of Romantic 80s Songs

We play lots of romantic songs on 96.3 KKLZ. There are plenty of love songs from the 80s to play on your wedding day.

And here are just a few off the top of my head: “Heaven” by Bryan Adams, “Up Where We Belong” by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes, “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin, “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship, and “Endless Love” by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie.

Additionally, here's a list of appropriate 80s songs for your day of bliss. This list was compiled by Nick Stackhouse on ArrowHouseEvents.co.uk.

We wish you a long and happy marriage!

6) Addicted To Love - Robert Palmer

You and your partner may be addicted to each other physically, but this song could be somewhat off-putting to those in attendance at your wedding or reception. Better to leave the sexual stuff for private times and focus on the love, dedication, and affection you have for each other. Even after a couple of shots of tequila at the reception, this song probably shouldn't be on your playlist.

5) "Every Breath You Take" - Police

This song gets played at many wedding receptions. But, did you know this song is not about true love and dedication to one's partner? It's really about jealousy and obsession. It's kind of a "stalker" song. Avoid it if you can.

4) "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" - Bonnie Tyler

Sure, this would be a great slow dance song at your wedding reception, but the lyrics include the line: "Once upon a time I was falling in love, now I'm only falling apart." Not exactly the sentiment you want to impart to your loved ones and friends on your wedding day.

3) "The One I Love" - R.E.M.

When you see the title of this song, you think, "Perfect!" Here's a song I can dedicate to my new spouse. The first line of the song is: "This one goes out to the one I love." But, lots of people don't listen past that. Here's the second line of the song, and the reason you want to avoid this ditty on your wedding day: "This one goes out to the one I left behind." Oops!

2) "With Or Without You" - U2

Sure, Bono's plaintive singing on this song makes you think he is aching for his partner's love. But if you really listen to the lyrics, he's saying that he can't live "with or without you." So, his new spouse is really driving him nuts already! It foreshadows a stormy relationship for the bride and groom.

1) "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - Joy Division

Most people get married because they are in love. Heck, the Captain & Tennille song "Love Will Keep Us Together" told us how great love is. This song argues the opposite point. How depressing. Your wedding day should be all about the love you feel towards each other. Apparently, not everyone feels love is a good thing. Oh well.
