Being safe is obviously of upmost importance. We all want to live in a safe area, to protect our loved ones. Nevada has some fantastic, safe areas, and five of those spots are getting highlighted.
Safewise.com has put together a list of the five safest cities in Nevada. In the study, they say, “In our latest State of Safety survey, 48% of respondents in Nevada reported concern for their safety. This is about the same as the national average of 50%. This may be due to crime rates in the state that are above the national average. Even so, violent crime has dropped year over year and the safest cities saw only a fraction of the state rates for both crime categories.”
When it comes to overall crime, Safewise.com states that even though Nevada’s crime rates have usually been higher than national averages, violent crime has been on the downswing. “In fact, violent crime in Nevada has been dropping for the past four years, and this year went from 4.6 incidents per 1,000 residents to 4.3,” they explain. The bad news is that that’s still higher than the national average, which is 4.0. They also say that the state isn’t doing well in the property crime area. Last year, in Nevada, the property crime rate fell below the national average, but this year, it’s back above it.
