National Reserve Zoom Meeting Hijacked With Porn
We’ve all been on Zoom meetings since the pandemic. It’s the new way to do meetings with out having everyone present physically. We also use Zoom meetings for social gatherings too! But just like ever other online application, it has the potential to be hacked. That’s exactly what happened to a Zoom meeting for the National Reserve!
The Zoom conference for the Federal Reserve had to be shutdown last Thursday because a user who’s name was just “Dan” started showing porn images on the screen.
The real reason for this Zoom call was to have the State of the economy delivered by Governor Christopher Waller, of the Federal Reserve. But before that could even get started, over 220 people on the call were shocked to see porn pop up on someone’s feed. The meetings settings weren’t set properly, which meant everyone in attendance didn’t have their microphones and web cams muted. This allowed someone to hijack the meeting and play the porn images in the metting.
They are working with Zoom to find out who this mysterious “Dan” person is and also to make sure this doesn’t happen again!
