Man Falls On Sword Of St. Michael Statue While Stealing It
On January 14th, Carlos Alonso got drunk and thought it would be a great idea to steal the statue of St. Michael the Archangel from a church in Monterrey, Mexico!
In the early hour of the morning, Carlos went to Christ The King Parish to rob the church. He apparently jumped over the fence, broke a glass door, to gain access to the church. He grabbed the statue of St. Michael the Archangel and ran! Carlos tripped and fell, causing the sword of the statue to seriously injure his neck!
Carlos was seen by people passing by and realized he was hurt. Police and paramedics were called to the front steps of the church, where he was laying there injured with the stolen statue.
He was treated for his wounds at a near by clinic and questioned more of how this happened.
Upon his release from the clinic and fully recovered, it’s most likely he will be turned over to the public prosecutor’s office. He will face charges for damaging church property.
