We all want to live as long as we can. That would include you taking good care of yourself and getting yourself checked by a doctor on a regular basis. But in some states, that’s not so important, and the life expectancy in those states is really low.

Before we get to the states, let it be known that the life expectancy between men and women has widened from it’s original percentage. Men in the United States are expected to have an average life expectancy of 73.5, while the women can expect to live to age 79.3.

Now the top five states you can expect to live longer in…Hawaii at number one! The men in Hawaii are expected to live a little longer. The age of 77.6 and women a lot longer at 83.8 years old. The second state is Washington where the average male lives to 79.2 years. This is just point one more than women at 79.1 years old.
Coming in third, fourth, and fifth are Minnesota, California, and Massachusetts. Minnesota with a 79.1 age expectancy and California and Massachusetts coming in with a tie with a life expectancy of 79-years old.
