U.K. Woman Hospitalized After Dog Poops In Her Mouth While Sleeping
A woman in the U.K. was sent to the hospital after her daughters dog, pooped in her mouth while she was sleeping. Her name is Amanda Gommo. She’s 51-years old and went down for her regular afternoon nap. She had her daughters chihuahua with her and let the dog sleep with her in the bed. Well the Chihuahua developed diarrhea while she was sleeping and couldn’t hold it in. The dog went all over the bed and it even got into Amanda’s mouth.
Amanda said she felt something squirt into her mouth, but didn’t know what it was until she woke up fully. She ran to the bathroom to try to vomit the dog feces out of her system. She said the constant bathroom runs to let it all out lasted for hours. The dog was taken to the vet and was diagnosed with a stomach bug. Yah think?!?! The dog was sent home with antibiotics. As for Amanda, she wasn’t so lucky.
Later in the evening she started to feel the same symptoms as her daughters dog. She called an ambulance. When paramedics arrived, she had gotten way worse. They left and 48-hours later, she was even more worse off than she was before. She was so dehydrated that they sent a second ambulance to take her to the hospital. They said her kidneys had shrank to almost half the normal size because of what she was going through. She ended up being diagnosed with a gastrointestinal infection that was passed on to her from the Chihuahua.
When she was discharged from the hospital, doctors had put on her file that she was infected by a dog defecating in her mouth, which no other doctor had ever seen before.
