Huey Lewis’s Hit Songwriter Goes Solo

It’s been a longtime coming. 40 years long, to be exact. Mike Duke wrote some of the biggest hits for Huey Lewis and the News. Including, Doing It All For My Baby and Hope You Love Me Like You Say You Do. Duke has spent a lifetime writing and playing for other people. And he’s finally doing his own project, at the age of 71. His new album, called “The Mike Duke Project…Took A While” will feature some unreleased demos he wrote for The News along with other new songs.
