Advice Mom Gave You That You Still Remember

With Mother's Day on the way, what is that piece of advice that mom gave your that you still remember? It came up this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show. Clearly we hit a nerved because a lot of listeners had a great memories.

Memories of advice they had been given that they still remember to this day. Listeners texting in, calling in with all sorts of advice from mom.

Now Mike O'Brian, who's mother wasn't really an "advice" giving type had one memory. She told him that he should give the ex-girlfriend a call to get back together again. Sorry, just wasn't going to happen!

On the other hand, Carla Rea gave an example and helped Carla throughout her life. Make her own decisions. No matter what it is, the decisions made were hers and she would have to live with them. Something that Carla says to this day she remembers.

We all have those pieces of wisdom from mom. However, the best was from a woman who gave us what her mother told her. Before you name your kid, go outside and scream the name at the top of your lungs...at least 3 or 4 times. Because that's going to be your life!

Awesome advice and we're sure there were a few mothers that did just that! All good stuff this morning. In fact, an article from Success talks about just that...the advice from your mom!

Safe to say both Mike & Carla have great memories of their mothers. Mike losing his when he was 21, but Carla enjoying her mom until just a few years ago.

And to those that have lost their mothers, our hearts go out to you. Just remember to celebrate your mom whether she is with us or not! Happy Mother's Day from all of us!
