Iowa Man Gets The Lead Out And Into The Guinness World Record Book
Where there’s a will there’s a way as an Iowa man gets the lead out and into the Guinness World Record Book! Not everything has to be a trick, totally amazing, or even athletic to get into the book. In fact, this is about the easiest way to do it.
The Mike & Carla Morning Show was SHOCKED (shocked) to find out that a Aaron Bartholmey hit the jackpot and set the record! According to UPI, Aaron collected nearly 70 thousand pencils and got into the Guinness World Record Book! That’s it! He just collected all types of pencils and set a new world record.
In fact, 69,255 to be exact…some of the writing sticks going as far back as 100 years! He also collected some that bore the name of sports teams. Then there were some you could use to dial a phone. All sorts of lead based writing utensils all counted at a public counting event.
So, with all that said, Mike O’Brian thought surely this would be the record Carla Rea could break. The only problem, Carla is more of a “pen” person! Didn’t matter to Mike who had a great idea. Over the course of time, they could hold a collection until they broke the record.
Think about it…M&C standing on different corners throughout the valley collecting pencils! It’s doable right? At least it’s something to think about and how many people would be able to say, “WE HELPED?”
Listen, Mike & Carla have done some pretty crazy things over the past decade to get attention! This would be considered pretty mild by standards!
Well, if we decide to do it, you’ll be the first to know. We all have a #2 laying around the house or at work right? Just start collecting now and in the meantime, listen to the segment from this morning. After that, scroll down to see all the great songs probably written with a pencil by the late-great Christine McVie!
