The Vegas Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup Parade That ROCKED
Only six years in the making, but the VGK Stanley Cup parade rocked! Celebrating the NHL Stanley Cup Championship, the Vegas Golden Knights took over the Las Vegas Strip Saturday night!
Over 200,000 fans jammed the strip and Toshiba Plaza to salute our team. Closing down the strip from Tropicana to Flamingo, gates were put in place to basically map out the parade route. It was pretty impressive to see from the beginning.
The city provided a number of double decker buses wrapped in Golden Vegas Knights banners featuring players, the Stanley Cup and more! The parade also included local firetrucks, sponsors and even the team drum line and cheerleaders.
The VGK Parade ROCKED!
Even Metro cruisers were wrapped with VGK banners. In fact, Metro did a great job clearing the strip and making sure everyone was safe. And believe it or not, the parade actually got off to an early start.
Players, family members and friends spraying champagne, cheering on the fans as well shooting off a few confetti guns! It made for quite the experience on the Strip!
Now the KKLZ crew planted its self with the best vantage point watching all the festivities high atop the balcony at Brew Dog! The Mike & Carla Morning Show broadcasting “live” had a front row seat for the parade. In fact, the KKLZ Street Team hit the ground running handing out KKLZ “fans” hoping to cool down some fans.
After the parade wound up at the foot of Toshiba Plaza out front of T-Mobile Arena. That’s where the fun really began. Capacity of reached even before the parade started. But speeches by coaches, players and more entertained the fans more so than we think they expected!
It was quite the long day for everyone, but the best part…all went off without a hitch! It was fun, everyone had a great time and without incident.
It was quite the day for Las Vegas…something that we all hope to see a few more times down the road as the Vegas Golden Knights prepare for the 2023-24 season. So, on the count of 3, GO KNIGHTS GO!
