Las Vegas Hotel Hosting Huge Sci-Fi Party For May The 4th
Everyone is getting ready for Star Wars Day. And Spiegelworld is getting in on the action.
Spiegelworld is the company behind the hugely popular Absinthe show at Caesars Palace. Known for its raunchy, rowdy comedy, Absinthe has been entertaining Las Vegas since 2011. And now, Speigelworld is celebrating May the 4th with a huge sci-fi party on the strip. Starring their space-themed odyssey show, OPM. On Thursday, May 4th, the show at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be transformed into the world of Star Wars.
For this one night only show, the crew of the OPM starship will take the audience on an epic journey as they travel through space. Of course, there will be hysterics, inappropriate humor, and surprises around every corner as the crew attempts to avoid the Dark Side. And if the May the 4th show is anything like the OPM show running now at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, there will also be mind-blowing acrobatics.
After the starship crew successfully evades the Emperor‘s bad guys, there will be an epic celebration with the cast. Celebration includes an open bar and small bites to nibble on. Pizza will also be served from Superfrico Italian American Psychedelic restaurant.
Get ready for light sabers and blasters. Storm Trooper helmets and Leia buns. Dress up in your favorite Star Wars outfit and join the fun. Tickets are $250 per person for the all-inclusive show with the open bar and refreshments. The show starts at 9pm with the after party following the show. You can get your tickets on the Spiegelworld website. Or on the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas website.
And check out the promo video for the Star Wars show. It looks like a lot of fun! And the perfect way to celebrate May the 4th. Enjoy! And May the Fourth be with you.

'Lord Of The Rings' Film Coming To Las Vegas Theaters
It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since the Lord of the Rings franchise was in movie theaters.
The Fellowship of the Ring was released in 2001 and instantly gained a huge fan following. The Two Towers dropped a year later, in 2002, to many anxiously awaiting movie-goers. And the final film in the trilogy, Return of the King, was filling the seats in 2003.
The movies were adaptations of J.R. Tolkien‘s fantasy novels and more than put Peter Jackson into the winner’s circle of film directors. They also immortalized actors like Elijah Wood, Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler and Sean Astin.
Now Warner Brothers is rereleasing the final film in theaters across North America.
To celebrate the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King will play in select theaters for a limited time. When it was first released, the film won an impressive 11 Oscars. And picked up $1.1 billion at the box office. Now those who didn’t get the chance to see one of the masterpieces in theaters will be able to experience the magic.
And it gets even better. The 20th anniversary showing will be the 260-minute extended edition of the film. That’s four hours and ten minutes of Frodo and Sam traipsing through Middle Earth. This one wasn’t even in theaters the first time. It was only released on DVD.
Regal and Cinemark are participating in the campaign and showing the film in their theaters. Cinemark has an added bonus for fans in the form of an introduction from Elijah Wood.
The film will play just two dates, April 13th & April 19th. Tickets are on sale and it’s anticipated that they will sell quickly. So it’s being recommended that die hard fans keep checking their favorite ticket outlet so they don’t miss out.
