Other News: Man Disguised As ‘Christmas Tree’ Slashes Tires
Police in Poland are hunting for a man who dressed like a Christmas tree, and slashed the tires of 21 vehicles belonging to a meat warehouse in Poland. TV footage of the spruced-up villain has been released in hopes of identifying him. A representative of the firm that owns the warehouse said the man was recorded loitering near the warehouse. He covered himself in a disguise of branches taken from nearby trees. He cut a hole in the fence, entered the premises, and started puncturing the tires of minibuses and cars. Along the way he lost his ‘camouflage’, and branches were scattered everywhere.” Follow the branches!!
It was a good excuse, but it just didn’t work. A 48-year-old man in Florida named Anthony Tarduno wandered up to a police crime scene, saw a marked patrol SUV, and decided to SET IT ON FIRE. He walked over to a nearby dumpster, pulled out a bag of trash, lit it with a lighter, and heaved it over to the SUV. He left the scene to go to a bar, but later came back and confessed to the police. He told detectives he was “intoxicated,” and when he gets “drunk” he does “stupid things.” Don’t we all – but not THIS! He was arrested on two counts of arson, and is being held on $30,000 bond.
A Russian man has been fined $600 for having a dream about Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. Ivan Losev took to Instagram where he posted about how he had a dream he had been ordered to fight for Russia. He said, in the dream, he was captured by Ukrainian forces and was about to be shot when Zelensky passed by and said, ‘Oh, I saw your stories on [Instagram], glory to Ukraine!’ Ivan says Zelensky freed him and asked for a selfie in his dream. The Russian government saw Ivan’s post and took him to court. He has to pay about $600 in fines. For a DREAM!!
A Harvard bioengineer Dr. Don Ingber has designed a silicone chip lined with tissue from human donors that could help scientists test drug treatments for female infections. He invented what he calls – I’m not joking – a “vagina on a chip.” The “vagina on a chip” was made from actual cells donated by two women. The model was grown inside of silicone rubber chips the size of a stick of gum. The chip successfully mimicked key features of the area. The VOAC can play a crucial role in the organ’s health, the study found. I can only hope it pairs well with his first invention “testicles on a cracker.”
