Las Vegas’ The Killers Announce Greatest Hits Tour In 2024
Las Vegas rockers, the Killers, are doing a Greatest Hits tour in 2024.
The Killers Are Hitting The Road
They are celebrating 20 years since the release of their ‘Hot Fuss’ album. They are also celebrating the release of their new Greatest Hits compilation, Rebel Diamonds which spans their career. This is the Killers second greatest hits album. Their first was 2013’s Direct Hits. Rebel Diamonds will be released December 8. Here is a trailer for the new album.
According to Pitchfork, the tracks on Rebel Diamonds are chronological. It starts with songs from The Killers 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss. Then tracks from Sam’s Town, Day & Age, Battle Born, Wonderful, Wonderful. Then on to tracks from Imploding the Mirage, Pressure Machine, Your Side Of Town, and then a new song by The Killers, called “Spirit.”
The Killers Greatest Hits Tour starts in the UK on June 14, in Dublin Ireland. The band posted on X (formerly Twitter): “It’s only right that we give first dibs to the land that gave us our first big shot at doing what we do!”
The Killers Brandon Flowers, Ronnie Vannucci, Jr, and Mark Stoermer, are all Vegas born and bred. Dave Kuening is an Iowa boy. But we’ll forgive him for that. Las Vegas is proud to call The Killers a hometown band.
Are There Killers Hometown Dates
No US dates have been announced yet for The Killers Greatest Hits tour. But I would be willing to bet that there will be a Las Vegas date or two somewhere along the way. I mean they can’t NOT play their hometown, right? And they definitely love Las Vegas.
In the meantime, Brandon Flowers has been busy hopping on stages everywhere to do a song or two with other artists. He joined Eddie Vedder at The Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California in September. They sang Tom Petty’s The Waiting. He also surprised Ed Sheeran fans at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, in October. They sang Mr. Brightside, and Castle on the Hill.
Finger crossed for a Las Vegas show from The Killers in 2024. I suggest they at least close their tour here in Las Vegas.
