Details About The Auction Of Elton John’s Outfits
The auction of Elton John’s outfits started on Thursday, June 27, and will only last 10 days. According to an online press release, the “Rocket Man Resale” includes hundreds of items from the singer’s personal collection. Including Gucci jackets, Versace robes, and customized Prada loafers.
For those who want a piece of fashion history but don’t have as much to spend, there are also more affordable items. Including baseball caps and historic concert t-shirts. Regarding Elton John’s outfits that are available, the singer said in the press release, “I’m excited to share my Atlanta treasure trove on eBay, hoping these items will inspire you to express your unique spirit and bring you as much joy as they’ve brought me.”
John also mentioned Pride Month and said that 100% of sales will benefit the foundation that works to end LGBTQ+ stigma. The starting bid on all items is $26.60, which is a nod to the address on Peachtree Road where John lived in Atlanta.
