Grab your Mickey ears! Disneyland just announced a deep discount for their kids' tickets. Starting at just $50.
Starting October 24, 2023, the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California will be offering their kids' tickets at a deep discount. The resort's website announced that the special tickets prices are coming soon and will be for kids aged 3-9 years old. The $50 offer will be for a 1-day, 1-park ticket.
Park Hopper Ticket and Multi-Day Ticket upgrades and Genie+ service can be added for additional fees, according to the Disney website. Once purchased, the ticket is good for any visit between January 8 and March 10, 2024. Park reservations still need to be made for the day the guest wishes to visit the park. And there are no blackout dates for this special.
The fine print goes on to say someone can purchase up to 10 tickets at one time. And since kids 3 and under are free, a family with many kids under 9 years old can save a lot of money by visiting the park with these special prices. The typical price for a 1-day, 1 park ticket is $179.
It's not clear why this special is being offered. One can presume it's to fill those slow days where kids are back in school after the holiday rush. But does it really matter why? It's discounted Disneyland tickets!! This doesn't happen often, so it's smart to jump on it while it lasts. Disney has specifically said it's a limited-time offer.
New Attractions at Disneyland for 2023.
Many families are looking forward to checking out the remodel of Splash Mountain. Now called Tiana's Bayou Adventure, the ride isn't scheduled to open until late 2024. So those taking advantage of this special won't be able to see that ride before it's reopened. But there are many other new and upcoming attractions.
Including Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in a newly reimagined Mickey's Toon Town. The Magic Happens Parade and Wonderous Journeys show are also new additions this year. So there will be plenty still to do early next year. See you at Disneyland!
7 Attractions Wendy Rush MUST Ride At Disneyland
Wendy Rush wears many hats but her vacation time is her time to do whatever she wants. Disneyland only being a four hour drive didn't stop Wendy from experiencing her favorite rides at Disneyland. The ride list has grown since its opening in 1955 and new rides are being added periodically. Get ready to twist, turn, and experience fun with Wendy's seven favorite Disneyland rides.
1. BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD
[saramarbu] via ShutterstockThis ride has an awesome combination of smooth drops and fun scenery. You get to go through an old mining town with mountain goats and old railroad tracks. And the drops and turns aren't so hard that you lose your lunch. But there are a few adrenaline-pumping spots where you're sure you'll hit your head on the mountain (don't worry...you don't).
2. SPACE MOUNTAIN

Space Mountain doesn't even really go that fast, but doing those turns and drops in the dark brings the traditional roller coaster ride to a different level!
3. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

[Joe Seer] via ShutterstockI'm a sucker for anything with a storyline. Pirates of the Caribbean has plenty of it. Pirates locked up in a jail cell, pillaging a town, going into battle. There's plenty to see. This one has been a classic for years and it's one I NEVER miss when I'm at the park.
4. JUNGLE CRUISE

5. THE HAUNTED MANSION

6. THE MATTERHORN

[Handout] / [Handout] via Getty ImagesAn oldie but a goodie (and gotta love the new upgrades!). I love this ride because the animated snowmen always catch me off guard, and the water fall drops cool me off on a hot summer day at the park! Plus with all the new animation, it's like revisiting a classic in a whole new way. Bonus: It'll now be the icebreaker I use if I ever run into Matt Damon.
7. Tea Cups

Of course, you can't do this one after lunch and, truth be told, sometimes I just visit to watch other people get sick. Either way, it's a "must-do" at Disneyland.
