It’s been 17 years since the series finale of Friends. And now those six beloved characters will be in the same room again for the much anticipated reunion show. For the longest time after the reunion was announced, all we had to go on was a trailer teaser. The teaser left much to the imagination, as it only showed the backs of our favorite actors, and not much else.

Then, after what seemed like forever, the official trailer came. It was well worth the wait and definitely wetted our appetite for the upcoming show. Grab the tissue.

Friends: The Reunion | Official Trailer | HBO Max

Our favorite friends are back on the set that started it all. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and...

Immediately, the internet jumped on Matthew Perry and what seemed to be a relapse into his much-publicized substance abuse. However, it was revealed that Perry had to undergo emergency dental surgery the morning of the shoot. The surgery left him groggy and feeling unwell. Talk about bad timing!

The reunion trailer definitely left the diehard Friends fans tearing up. Partly from seeing the cast together again, and party from watching them get emotional about being back on set. Looks like we’ll see a lot of stuff from the show that we came to know and love. They played the old favorite games, weighed in on whether or not Ross and Rachel were on a break, and got cozy in their old furniture. We even got to hear some secrets (like how Courteney wrote her lines on the kitchen table so she wouldn’t forget them). There have also been suggestions that we’ll see Janice and Richard again. And tears. Lots and lots of tears. Get ready. The show will stream on HBO Max tomorrow, May 27.

In anticipation of the release, the cast appeared on Good Morning America to dish out even more to look forward to. Check out the GMA interview and details here.

By the way, did you know that there were many times the cast of Friends went off script during a scene? Sometimes the reaction from the audience was so big, the improvised lines made it into the final episode. Here are some of our favorites.
