Big Game Week: Jersey Shaming Happening In Las Vegas
It’s something new, but with the BIG GAME this weekend, evidently there is jersey “shaming” actually happening in Las Vegas! This story came up on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning, more specifically with Carla Rea.
Although born and raised in Reno, Carla’s family is from Detroit! For that reason Carla has always had a soft place in her heart for teams from the Motor City. Mostly the Tigers and even more so the Detroit Lions. So, this season, with the Lions going to the Conference Finals, Carla was sporting the gear like no tomorrow. And rightfully so, since it had been decades, if not longer, that they have had a consistently winning team!
Is Jersey Shaming Going on In Las Vegas
If fact, to show our support on the morning show, we all hopped on the DL bandwagon! Once they lost though, all bets were off. However, Carla still wears the blue and silver proudly! Well, the other day, wearing her new Lions jacket, a man noticed it on and commented. “Whaddya wearin’ that for, your team lost!” Catching Carla a bit off guard.
Well, we wanted to know this morning, is there some unwritten rule that after your team loses in the playoffs, you no longer wear the gear? To be honest, Mike O’Brian and Executive Producer Morty had never heard of that rule, but they wanted to know as well.
The bottom line, with it being Big Game Week in Las Vegas, is it okay to wear your favorite team’s jersey? Even if they’re not in the Super Bowl? Most people said “yes”, wear your team jersey to the BIG GAME…even if they’re not in it! It just shows that you’re a football fan and and are there for the experience and the game!
Feel free to take a couple of minutes and listen to the segment, then you decide…and enjoy!
