Who Wins The ‘Fun City’ Crown? You Guessed It…Las Vegas
When you think about America’s most fun cities, where do you rank our home city of Las Vegas? With that in mind, WalletHub.com recently released the results of their study of our nation’s cities to try and determine the U.S.A.’s most fun city. Here’s where “Sin City” lands in the rankings.
Las Vegas Wins National Crown For Most Fun City
Being a full-time radio broadcaster since I graduated college in the early 1980’s, I have lived in quite a few cities around our great nation. My first gig was in Hanover, New Hampshire, home of Dartmouth College. From there, I made stops in Gunnison and then Pueblo, Colorado. From there to Murfreesboro and then Nashville, Tennessee. Then, back across the country to Bakersfield, California for a few years. Subsequently, I landed in “The Inland Empire” of Cali (Riverside – San Bernardino).
After all that moving around during the first eleven years of my career, we were looking for a great city in which to settle down. Thank goodness we ended up here in Las Vegas starting in 1994. This is one of the most fun cities in which to live. And now, the folks at WalletHub.com back up our opinion. They are naming Las Vegas the most fun city in America in their most recent survey.
Here’s How Other Nevada Cities Fared In The Survey
Without a doubt, it’s hard to argue with Las Vegas taking the crown in this survey. Other major cities in America which land in the top five are Orlando, Florida (#2), Miami, Florida (#3), Atlanta, Georgia (#4), and San Francisco, California (#5).
When it comes to Nevada’s other cities in this article by Adam McCann on WalletHub.com, two more show up in the top 100. Reno claims the #28 position, and Henderson comes in at #65. Incidentally, North Las Vegas makes it into the survey at #140.
By now you must be wondering how Wallet Hub determines their rankings for this study. According to McCann’s article, 182 cities, including the 150 most populous, are in this comparative study. First, entertainment and recreational opportunities were reviewed. Second, the amount of available nightlife and party venues were taken into consideration. The final dimension studies is the cost of all of this fun. If you’d like to see where your favorite city for fun lands in the survey, click here.
Put it all together, and it is easy to see why Las Vegas wins the crown for most fun city in the U.S.A. Party on!
