Lots Of Free Family Fun For The Holidays At Downtown Summerlin®
As the holiday classic sing-along says: “Santa Claus is coming to town!” In fact, he’ll be a huge part of all the free family fun during the holidays at Downtown Summerlin.
Here’s What’s Happening During The Holidays At Downtown Summerlin®
By and large, all the free holiday fun begins on November 10th at Downtown Summerlin®. First, you and your kids can meet St. Nick himself in the Santa Chalet at Macy’s Promenade from November 10th through December 24th. You can check the Downtown Summerlin® website for a reservation link by clicking here. With this in mind, be sure your children have their wish list ready for Santa.
Second, even if you don’t have a chance to meet Santa, your kids can drop off their letters at the very same Santa Chalet. Basically, that’s where you can find “Santa’s Mailbox.” The letter will be sent directly to the North Pole. But be sure you include a return address so Santa can send you a personalized reply. They’ll be accepting letters through December 22nd. Get more information by clicking here.
Third, how about some fun family photos? You’ll want to bring your best digital camera or smartphone to “Lights for Flights.” Snap pictures near “seven oversized illuminated signs.” Specifically, words and phrases include: “Love,” “Joy,” “Peace,” “Hope,” “Soar,” “I ♥ You,” and “Miracle.” These photo opportunities are presented by Miracle Flights according to the Downtown Summerlin® website. Enjoy Ice Skating And Parades During The Holiday Season
All in all, most folks love strapping on ice skates and going for a twirl (or fall) during the holiday season. Live Nation is bringing back the “Rock Rink” at Downtown Summerlin® from November 10th through January 15th. Take laps around the 8,000 square foot ice skating rink “near The Pavilion at The Lawn.” According to the “walkable urban center’s” website, there’s a 40-foot Christmas tree at The Rock Rink. Your $16 dollar fee gets you up to 75-minutes of skating, with skate rentals included. Get more info by clicking here.
Finally, everyone loves a holiday parade! You and your family must get to Downtown Summerlin® on a Friday or Saturday evening. The holiday parade starts at 6 p.m. Per the website, you’ll see “festive holiday floats,” plenty of snow, dancers, characters, and, of course, Santa Claus himself! Remember, the parade rolls on Friday and Saturday evenings only from November 17th through December 16th. Additionally, enjoying the parade is free and open to the public.
