Florida Woman Leaves $2.5 Million To Her Cats
In Florida, passed away last year and decided to leave her entire inheritance and her mansion to her seven cats! Her name is Nancy Sauer and she had seven Persian cats, which she apparently adored more than anything! So much so that they became richer than most humans! The cats are Cleopatra, Goldfinger, Leo, Midnight, Napolean, Snowball, and Squeaky! All seven cats will split the money, but the one rule in her will was to make sure all cats remained together, because separating them would make them upset.
The mansion can’t be sold and the cats can continue to live in the home until the last cat passes away. And we all know that cats can live a nice long life! Nancy also left the kitties an inheritance that should be used to take care of the seven cats expenses for their entire life.
The cats are still young…about five-years-old! Nancy passed away last November and the cats have been living in the mansion alone since. Someone was taking care of them, but a Hillsborough County probate judge ruled that the cats could no longer live alone in the mansion. The cats needed to be moved to a place where all would get better care around the clock…like a regular pet cat.
The Judge said they will put them up for adoption and try to keep them all together. Hopefully they can, because the last thing anyone needs is Nancy Sauer to come back and haunt someone for not following her wishes! The cats will go up for adoptions sometimes this week!
