Emmitt Smith: Las Vegas Strip Restaurant Still Not Open
Last July, I posted an article on 963KKLZ.com about a brand new, glitzy restaurant set to open on the Las Vegas Strip. This new locale, owned by NFL Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, was supposed to open in 2022. In fact, my article referred to a job fair being held that month to fill all the positions. Well, here we are, a month in to 2023, and the restaurant has not opened yet.
According to a recent article written by Janna Karel and posted on VegasEater.com, when this proposed two-story restaurant and entertainment complex, located in the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip, does finally open for business, it is going to be a high-end steak house. Menu items include dishes such as ” foie gras-topped Wagyu and an epic butter cake.” Apparently, per Karel’s article, Smith is a huge butter cake fan, and he is very particular about it too. Chef Rainer Schwarz says this new eatery will also feature “a raw bar that boasts a seafood tower, shrimp cocktail, and caviar.”
So, when will Emmitt’s open? Per the article on VegasEater.com, “A spokesperson for Emmitt’s has said only that updates are coming ‘soon.’”
Even though we all know Emmitt Smith to be an accomplished athlete, Emmitt’s is not going to be a sports bar or sports-themed restaurant. Smith is also an accomplished business person. Since retiring from pro football, Emmitt Smith has become a businessman and entrepreneur who runs several companies.
You may have also seen him compete on the ABC Television series Dancing With The Stars in 2006. He was paired with professional dancer Cheryl Burke, and the couple went on to win the third season competition.

5 Las Vegas Steakhouses You Should Eat At
Calling all meat-lovers this post is for you. Steakhouses in Las Vegas are serious when it comes to the proteins they’re serving. Customers care about taste, overall restaurant ambiance and price-point.
Whether it’s a date night, an anniversary or maybe you’re celebrating a big birthday… Where you eat is important! The quality of food plays a key factor in one’s overall dining experience.
Steak is a delicacy that has to be cooked to a diner’s preference or it could throw off the entire dinner. Having attentive service is vital in upscale steakhouses.
Many of these restaurants have trained staff that are very helpful in ordering and recommending how you might want your steak cooked. The knowledge is important as many novice steak eaters may not know the difference between medium-rare and medium-well.
The chart ranges below:
- Extra Rare or “Blue”
- Rare
- Medium-Rare
- Medium
- Medium-Well
- Well-Done
Pan-fried and grilled seem to be the two most common ways to cook steak. As a main ingredient in a lot of dishes the temperature that the poultry is cooked in will change the taste.
The information including ratings, price point and hours of operation were gathered for these steakhouses from Tripadvisor.com. Price points vary depending on the plate ordered.
Here’s what to know:
The average atmosphere rated between four to four and half stars. The average price point per plate is around $50 to $100. All of the restaurants listed below ranked under 1,000 out of 3,137 restaurants.
Three out of the five restaurants received Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2022 award. Traveler’ Choice is honored when a restaurant ranked in the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor and are constantly gaining positive reviews.
We wanted to note that Harlo Steakhouse And Bar is a newer steakhouse to Vegas and despite having not many reviews competes with the best.
If you or your loved one is a steak connoisseur or a “meat-lover” these steakhouses might just do the trick!
