Coolio may be one of the most iconic rappers of the 90’s. We all know the movie “Dangerous Minds” with Michelle Pfeiffer. Coolio’s song “Gangsta’s Paradise” played a key role in the huge success of that film. The “Gangsta’s Paradise” singer was found dead in L.A. yesterday. It’s said Coolio was visiting a friend and went to the bathroom. After he was gone for a lengthy amount of time, his friend went to check on him, finding him passed out on the floor with no pulse. Paramedics arrived and tried to resuscitate him for almost forty-five minutes.

The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene. Coolio dealt with drug issues back in the day, but cleaned up his life when he became a volunteer fire fighter. He also was known to have severe asthma, but that didn’t stop him from being a volunteer. His work with the fire department helped him clean up his life and ways.

Coolio not only had fans from the 90’s but also made fans with millennials. He worked on the theme song for the popular Nickelodeon TV show, “Kenan and Kel” as well as help with the album “Dexter’s Laboratory: The Hip-Hop Experiment”.

Coolio was 59. We have more on this story and more in today’s Entertainment News!
