George Clooney And Julia Roberts Back Together Again
George Clooney and Julia Roberts are at it again and we are SO excited. These two are just magic together on the screen. We loved them in Oceans 11 and Oceans 12. We loved them in Money Monster. And we loved them in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
Now this dynamic duo is back in a new movie called Ticket To Paradise. Clooney and Roberts play exes who travel across the world to Bali for their daughter’s surprise wedding. But they’re none-too-happy about their daughter (played by Kaitlyn Dever) impulsively marrying a man she just met on vacation. So the overprotective parents have to put their differences aside to join forces and secretly sabotage the nuptials. Right away in the trailer we see the estranged dynamic between the couple played by Clooney and Roberts, and the fun starts early on.
Roberts hasn’t done a romantic comedy in decades. And she says it’s not for lack of desire. Sounds like those roles just haven’t been coming her way as much. But one thing that sealed the deal for her doing Ticket to Paradise was her old buddy Clooney. She knew this kind of script would soar if Clooney was opposite her. And the feeling was mutual for good ol’ George. In fact, the two shared a phone call to make sure the other was on board before they each signed up for it.
Whatever the reason, it’s been too long since these two shared the big screen, and we can’t wait for this movie. It’s due out October 21. Ol Parker is behind this one. He’s the guy who wrote and directed Mamma Mia!, if that gives you any indication of how fun this movie will be. And, if you’re an Emily in Paris fan, you might recognize Lucas Bravo. He played the lovable (and super hot) chef, Gabriel, in that series.
