2 Vegas Brunches You Should Check Out This Weekend
When it comes to Vegas brunches, let’s just say we have options. So much so, in fact, that sometimes local restaurants have to up the game to keep their patrons coming back. Well, there are two brunches happening in Vegas this weekend that look like a lot of fun, because both of them are themed. One is going to hook you up with free stuff if you come dressed like your BFF. And the other is paying homage to the most beloved BFFs on television.
Vegas Brunches Among Many Local Activities This Weekend
There are many things being celebrated on the weekend of June 8. It is Nevada Free Fishing Day, which will see a lot of locals out and about get some outdoor recreation. And it’s also Free Adventure Day 2024, and all of our state parks will be waiving their admission fees for visitors. But what about those of us who don’t like the outdoors in summertime? Or those who don’t do any meal of the day if it happens before 11 a.m.? Brunch was made for those people, and these two Vegas brunches are giving a little extra incentive to come out this weekend. Broken Yolk Cafe Celebrating National Best Friends Day
June 8 is also National Best Friends Day. And the Broken Yolk Cafe is honoring the special day with a special offer for BFFs. If you have breakfast, brunch or lunch at Broken Yolk Cafe dressed identical to your best friend, you’ll both get a “Bestie Bag”. Inside will be a friendship bracelet and other treats, as well as a free pancake card for your next visit.
The Broken Yolk Cafe has three locations. One at 3458 St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. Another at 9435 S. Rainbow Blvd in Las Vegas. And a third location in Town Square at 6805 South Las Vegas Blvd. All locations are open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. They have all your favorite breakfast and lunch classics, as well as a healthy option menu and a kids menu.
‘Brunch And The City’ At La Neta Cocina y Lounge
Calling all Sex And The City fans! La Neta Cocina is giving you the perfect way to spend your Sunday in style with their Sex and the City-themed brunch. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, enjoy a $65 prix fixe menu for two. The menu begins with watermelon salad and flautas, then Trash Quiles and Wake and Cake and finally red velvet churros for dessert.
There will be bottomless mimosas, spritzes and Micheladas available for an additional $25. Or, if you want to truly brunch like Miranda, Charlotte, Samantha and Carrie, special themed Cosmopolitans will be available for $16.
La Neta Cocina y Lounge is located at 1770 Festival Plaza Drive in Las Vegas, near the Red Rock Casino. Sunday brunch is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can make reservations early by visiting lanetacocina.com.

Located under Brunch Plates is a banana bread that will make your mouth water just thinking about it. This food item is served until 2 p.m. which is an hour before restaurant close. Hostess recommended and the softness and banana flavor packs a punch in each and every bite. The plate is served with a swirly creamy butter that pairs perfectly. The cost of Mom’s Banana Bread is $10.

Merguez Stuffed Dates
Located under Shareable Plates are well stuffed and savory dates. The dates are stuffed with lamb sausage, goat cheese, red pepper romesco and parsley pesto. The red pepper romesco was light and tangy to kick just enough kick. The rpesentation was brigh with fresh green urbs on top. The cost of Merhuez Stuffed Dates is $16.

Green Eggs, No Ham
Located under Eggs & Friends is a play on the Dr. Suess’ “Green Eggs and Ham.” The plate was was full in proportion and light on flavor. The dish features egg white scramble, spinach, broccoli, kale, mushroom, onion and baby greens salad. The salad was drenched in a sweet vinaigrette. The cost of Green Eggs, No Ham is $16. As we were told, this menu-item is seasonal.
Egg whites are very healthy and the greens balance the dish nicely. Healthier options are available for those looking to make a shift in their dietary plans.
Crispy Skin Norwegian Salmon
Located under Lunch plates is a hearty and healthy option. The plate features braised fennel, fingerling potatoes and curry scented buttermilk. The fish was well seasoned and the skin wasn’t mushy. The plate was bright with the pieces of ice berg and purple-red cabbage. The cost of this plate is $28.
Salmon is meant for enjoying with friends and family. Fine Company offers a crispy skinned fish you won’t want to miss.
