How America’s Chief Executive Officers Use Language To Achieve Success
By and large, I’m sure you’re familiar with the phrase: “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” Of course, that’s a maxim that’s often heard when a person doesn’t get the job that moves them up in the company. However, when it comes to heading up a Fortune 500 company, it’s more about what you know for those who are Chief Executive Officers (CEOs).
With that in mind, the folks at Preply.com decided to rate the intelligence of America’s top CEOs. Along with their smarts, they are also ranking these top executives on how influential and likeable they are. How did they do this? Basically, they determine their rankings based on an executive’s language. They watched hours of YouTube presentations to find out which top execs “showcase remarkable intelligence through their words.”
