KKLZ Music News

Sammy Hagar and Bryan Adams showed each other a little love over social media recently.

It all started when Adams shared a video of himself driving listening to a little “Van Hagar” with “Why Can’t This Be Love.” Hagar shared the clip himself with the caption, “My buddy @bryanadams has got him some good driving music going on #vanhagar #5150.”

Hagar would return the favor sharing a quick video of him playing Adams’ classic “Summer of ’69.”

It’s funny that Hagar choose “Summer of ’69” to play considering Adams revealed the song’s far dirtier meaning a couple years ago.

In a July 2020 interview with Classic Rock, Adams said, “The song is a bit autobiographical, but it’s really about summer love and, in my, case being a musician. I love the song ‘Night Moves’ by Bob Seger, which is about getting laid in the summer, and I always wanted to write an answer to that. There is a huge misconception that this song is about 1969, but it’s not. The reason I chose 69 is because of the sexual position.”
