While the DC cinematic universe has not gotten the respect that Marvel’s has, they are clearly looking to turn things around. DC’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con today focused on two films: Black Adam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods.

Dwayne Johnson showed up to the panel in his Black Adam costume, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who wrote that he appeared to “ear-splitting thunder, smoke, and flashes” and that he appeared to float into the air above the stage.

The fans then saw a quick preview of the film, which hits theaters on October 21.

DC also shared the first footage of Shazam: Fury Of the Gods, which hits U.S. theaters on December 21. They both wear costumes with a similar lightning bolt logo.
