If you’re a movie producer, you want the very best music to fit your film to grab the audiences attention. In “Varsity Blues” AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” was used and reportedly cost them $500,000 use. This makes it the most expensive Rock song to license for Movies, TV Shows, and more! “Varsity Blues” was released over 20-years ago and the song has been used in tons of films and tv shows since then. Imagine how much royalty money the band and the record company has received for it’s use.
Now they’re saying on average, it will cost about $50,000 to $60,000 to obtain a license to use the song.
