9/11 Programs To Pay Tribute to 20th Anniversary
In honor of the 20 Anniversary, of September 11, films and documentaries have been created to pay tribute to the lives lost and to observe the tragedy that unfolded around the world.
We gathered a list of eight documentaries/shows to document and remember the events that occurred. The footage listed below may be hard to watch about this fateful day.

9/11: One Day in America (National Geographic via Hulu)

Race Against Time: The CIA and 9/11 (8 p.m., CBS/Paramount+)
“Former CIA directors, insiders and national security experts retrace the agency’s steps around 9/11 and detail the mission to hunt down al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in “Race Against Time: The CIA and 9/11.” The special airs Friday, September 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream on the CBS News app and Paramount+ on September 11.”
Good Morning America: Special Edition / 9/11 Twenty Years Later: America Remembers (7 a.m., ABC)
“9/11 Twenty Years Later: America Remembers” is a special week of coverage across the network and streaming news channel ABC News Live to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, including four reflective primetime specials and a five-part documentary series.
On Saturday, Sept. 11, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary, a special edition of “Good Morning America Saturday” will air at 7:00 a.m. EDT and lead into ABC News’ special live coverage “9/11 Twenty Years Later: America Remembers” beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The special coverage will reflect on all that happened since that tragic morning and feature the live ceremony taking place in lower Manhattan, including the reading of the names by family members of those killed, as well as the six pauses for moments of silence commemorating the four attacks and collapse of the two towers, and the ceremonies at the Pentagon, Shanksville and elsewhere.
ABC News Live will dedicate a full 24 hours of rotating 9/11-related programming beginning the morning of Saturday, Sept. 11.

Surviving 9/11 (8 p.m., Discovery)
“A deeply personal film that moved between accounts of the two-hour period when terrorists attacked the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 and the story of the 20 years since.”
Discovery Channel is airing “Surviving 9/11” at 8 p.m. They have multiple 9/11 episodes airing throughout the day including: “Attack on the Pentagon” which starts at 1 p.m., and “After the Towers Fell” at 4:00 p.m.
9/11: Four Flights (History Channel), 8 p.m. ET
