A Director Has Finally Been Chosen For ‘The Shining’ Sequel
Some of you may be like “Wait, there’s a sequel for ‘The Shining?’“
Yes, there is. Stephen King‘s ‘Doctor Sleep’ has confirmed that the director for the job will be Mike Flanagan, who has directed ‘Oculus,’ ‘Hush,’ and ‘Absentia.’
He has previously worked on a Stephen King project, directing ‘Gerald’s Game’ for Netflix, according to NME.
Thrilled and honored to spend some time at the Overlook. CANNOT WAIT https://t.co/gR3FBuPVWf

NME notes that ‘Doctor Sleep’ follows an adult Danny Torrance, who now copes with his role at the Overlook Hotel by drinking. Well yeah, if you lived through that, you’d be messed up too.
They are expecting big numbers for this one, considering how well ‘IT’ did in theatres.
To mentally prepare yourself, maybe you should watch ‘The Shining’ again. I mean, do you really need an excuse?
Amy Cooper is one with the force and the force is with her.
