NEW YORK - DECEMBER 01: Musician Lou Reed performs "Satellite of Love" onstage with Alicia Keys at "The Pusher's Ball" to benefit the "Keep A Child Alive" charity at The Angel Orensanz Foundation Center for the Arts December 1, 2004 in New York City.

Lou Reed’s iconic second solo album Transformer turns 45 today (November 8), and even as it hits that milestone, it still manages to drip with more edge and cool than most new releases today.

With David Bowie and Mick Ronson at the helm producing, Reed delivered one of his most complete efforts of his career with a number of diverse style bends.  (Seriously, listen back to tracks like “Perfect Day” and “New York Telephone Conversation” and it’s mind-blowing they’re on the same album.)

Transformer is responsible for some of Reed’s biggest solo hits, but in honor of its anniversary, we have just one question:  Which track off Transformer is best?

Vote in the poll below and tell us in detail your opinion in the comments!
