The Mike & Carla’s 7th Annual Project H2O Water Drive has officially come to a close. The water drive started years ago with a goal to collect some water to donate to those who need it most because Vegas weather gets so hot. Here we are seven years later with compassion, community and commitment.
You, our listeners are truly the ones to thank for this. We help drive the bus but it’s you who puts the gas in the bus to keep it moving. Our goal for 2023 was to try to collect as many cases or bottles of water as possible with the hopes of beating last year’s collection total. Although, if we did not beat last year’s total, we were appreciative because any amount of water donated is a success in our book. But you, our dedicated P1s, had other plans and to say Vegas isn’t a community city begs to differ.
Many of our listeners held their own private water drives to donate larger amounts of water. We had businesses donate 50 to 100 cases of water. We also had listeners donate online which helps us just as much and means just as much. So let’s get to the real reason we are reading this post. The total!
We not only beat our number of bottles from last year (5,000) but we surpassed it big time. So how many bottles did we collect? You’re dying to know huh?
We collected 15, 234 bottles of water! Over, 15,000 which is staying right here in Southern Nevada.
Thank you to Port Of Subs Las Vegas for helping us reach this goal. Our friend, Mike has always been so supportive and we can’t thank him enough.
Thank you to The Salvation Army of Southern Nevada for coming out to collect donations and for what comes after the collection period… The distribution period.
We are very excited for Mike & Carla’s 8th Annual Project H2o Water Drive next year! It’s going to be bigger and better.
