How fun is this? It seems everyone around Christmas offers Santa visits. We can see him at the mall, he’s hanging around Wal-Mart sometimes. But how many places let you sit down and have breakfast with that jolly old fellow? Breakfast with Santa is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages.
This unique holiday dining experience is happening this Saturday, December 10 from 10am to noon. It’s being hosted at Downtown Container Park near Fremont Street Experience. Downtown Container Park in and of itself is a very cool and unique place that everyone in Las Vegas should visit.
Made of upcycled shipping containers, this uncommon outdoor strip mall is like nothing else in Southern Nevada. The shops are all in these containers, and they are set in a U-shape with a stage at the far end. In the shops, you’ll find everything you might need in one place. There are restaurants, candy shops, an ice cream shop, toy store, barber, a souvenir shop, and more.
Near the stage, there is an open area with seating and giant Legos. Las Vegas residents can be found there teaching yoga classes, enjoying a glass of wine from the nearby restaurant. And kiddos are always playing with the blocks. That is, if they’re not in the play area. That thing is awesome too. It’s right in the middle of the park. It’s completely fenced in so your little ones can be accounted for. And there are lots of slides for kids, and even some adults, to enjoy.
Basically, there are already plenty of reasons to stop by, and now you have one more. Santa will be there Saturday morning to celebrate the holidays early with you. Tickets are $35 for adults (that includes a complimentary mimosa) and $25 for children (link is below). –Wendy Rush
