2 Great Las Vegas Events To Check Out At Our Libraries
Two great Las Vegas events are happening this weekend at our local libraries. If you’re looking for something to do with the kiddos or alone, either event would be a wonderful option.
Las Vegas Events Through The Clark County Library District
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is no stranger to awesome events. I’ve advocated many times in the past for people checking out our local libraries. Because I, myself, have been pleasantly surprised many times about how amazing they are.
Speaking of which, have you heard about all the complimentary things you can get in Las Vegas with a library card? If not, I have many of them listed here.
They’re not just stacks of books like we knew from our childhood. Far from it. The library district in Las Vegas has more to offer than you could imagine. Movies and music streaming, podcasting studios, DJ classes, production facilities and more.
And the family-oriented things the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District offers aren’t in short supply either. They provide homework help for the kiddos, job search assistance for the adults and much much more.
And this weekend they have two festivals happening at two different locations. That would be fun to do alone, with the friends, or as a family outing.
Las Vegas Family Events At Windmill Library
The Windmill Library is doing their annual Mystic Fair. It’s called “Mystic Fair 2024 – A Mind, Body and Spirit Experience”.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the Windmill Library. Located at 7060 West Windmill Lane, on the corner of Windmill Lane and Rainbow Blvd.
The event activities include Movement with Ecstatic Dance Las Vegas. In the Outside Lot, there will be two sessions to choose from: at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Yoga will also be happening in the Outside Lot, with Dray Gardner. Also two sessions to choose from: at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Inside the auditorium at Windmill Library will be Shamanic Drumming at 11 a.m. Followed by breathwork exercises at 12 p.m. “Tarot for Self-Care” will be at 1 p.m. And a violin meditation will follow at 2 p.m.
The Meeting Room will hold various workshops throughout the event. Including ones dedicated to money talismans, candle magic, Ouija boards and ghost hunting.
For the young kiddos, check out the Story Room. They’ll have a 20-minute child mindfulness and meditation class, hosted by Happy Kids.
The Story Room will also be doing an introduction to chakras class. And Crystals For Abundance will be hosted by Enchanted Forest.
And if you have a teenager, Enchanted Forest will also be hosting a Teen Tune-Up with Tuning Forks session.
Other rooms will also be hosting various sessions. You’ll find tarot, palm and psychic readings in the Study Rooms, as well as aura photography.
There will be Insight for Zodiacs happening in the Upstairs Room 1. As well as astrology and medium readings, and Sound Healing For The Soul.
And finally, there will be various sessions of Elemental and Reiki healing circles at the event. Get the entire schedule of classes here.
Check out all the fun they had at the Mystic Fair last year.
Las Vegas Events At Summerlin Library
Another option, for those looking for Las Vegas events this weekend, is the Chalk It Up Art & Music festival at the Summerlin Library. Happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1771 Inner Circle Drive, right off Summerlin Parkway at Town Center.
This festival is an amazing option if you have young kids. They’ve got a children’s craft corner, face painting, shadow puppet shows, balloon artists, and chalk art.
There’s plenty to do for adults as well. Including art demonstrations from Clay Arts Las Vegas and Your Event Entertainment Services. And there will be opportunities for adults to do DIY crafts.
Many local street artists will be at the festival doing multidimensional art for the chalk art contest that you can vote on.
There will also be a DJ, food trucks, Bellydance performances and more. Get a schedule of all the events here.
And check out the fun they had at last year’s Chalk It Up festival.
Both Las Vegas events through the Library District are free to attend this weekend and open to the public.
